Lord Mayor's City Hall Concerts presents The Beatles Rooftop Concert with The Honeysliders.
In 1969, on a freezing mid winter's day in London, The Beatles gave their last ever live performance upon the rooftop of their Apple Corps headquarters in downtown Saville Row. With a makeshift stage, portable recording equipment and a bewildered crowd, as well as the addition of Billy Preston on keys, and John and Ringo adorned in borrowed jackets, the concert became one of the most iconic live performances of all time.
Brisbane band, The Honey Sliders, will pay homage to this treasured and well-documented performance by playing each of the songs The Beatles played on that historic day, plus some extra tunes they have selected from the extensive Fab Four repertoire.
