City of Sydney hosts an official welcome for international students studying at Sydney institutions every year.
The event recognises and celebrates international students' contributions to Sydney's vibrancy, livability and cultural diversity. The event marks the start of the international students' journey and returning international students, helping students to make lifelong connections with Sydney.
The event will also celebrate 31 international leaders for completing their 18 months ambassadorship with the City of Sydney under the International Student Leadership and Ambassador Program. At the event, these leaders will share their experiences and tips on getting the most out of your international education experiences in Sydney and embark on your journey to become our future leaders.
You will also have opportunities to meet a variety of organisations that offer a range of wonderful volunteering opportunities and support services at the event.
This year, the Lord Mayor's Welcome for International Students will be held at the iconic Sydney Town Hall.
