Celebrate Lunar New Year in the Inner West with the launch of a new outdoor projection work, Lunar New Year Lights.
Curated by CLIPPED Creative Director Samuel Bright, three talented music video artists Steffie Yee, Melissa Mai and Grace Chen have been commissioned to create bespoke outdoor projections for the exterior of the Ashfield Town Hall that celebrates the artists' own experiences, childhood, or reflections on Lunar New Year.
The official launch of the projections will include performances by Red Maple Leaf Arts, Australian Federation of Chinese Organisations plus talks from the artists about their work, prior to the official 'lights on'.
Welcome the year of the Wood Dragon with Inner West Council at Ashfield Town Hall Forecourt on Friday 16 from 7:30pm-8:30pm. Projections run from 16-22 February from 8:30pm-11:00pm.
