Join Dalit Kaplan and Dr Simon Holloway in conversation about Jewish attitudes to health and crises drawn from both literature and personal experience.

There are few human experiences that shatter our sense of control or power like illness. We are forced to confront our mortality and navigate a world of doctors, medications, side effects, and hospitals. The global pandemic has forced every human on the planet to reckon with these questions. How do we make sense of this? How does our Jewish tradition and cultural history help these efforts, and how does it hinder them?

Dalit Kaplan has backgrounds in law, podcast-production, storytelling training, impact investing, and worrying. She has had essays published in a range of online publications and volumes, writing about illness, fertility, loss, Judaism, the Holocaust, feminism and politics. Dalit is the founder of Storywell and a director of Just World Investments. Dalit joins Dr Simon Holloway, an educator at the Sydney Jewish Museum.
