To celebrate this special milestone, Matsuri Brisbane 2026 will highlight the strong bond and cultural exchange between Japan and Australia that has grown over the past 50 years. Enjoy traditional music, delicious street food, exciting performances, and unforgettable cultural experiences - all live and in person. It's the perfect chance to connect with the community, make new friends, and experience the beauty, energy, and spirit of Japan. With over 30,000 expected visitors, this exciting event offers a full day of performances, cultural activities, delicious food, and fun for all ages. Matsuri Brisbane features a vibrant lineup of Japanese cultural performances including Taiko drums, Awa Odori, Yosakoi, Bon Odori, J-Pop, and martial arts demonstrations. Visitors can also enjoy traditional Japanese festival games such as Kendama and Super Ball Scoop, along with a variety of Japanese food, cultural stalls, travel information, and a licensed bar area. Cultural displays and workshops including Ikebana, Japanese calligraphy, and tea ceremony offer a chance to experience the beauty and traditions of Japan through hands-on activities and performances for all ages.
