My unStill Life by Cam Michael delves into the interplay between work and home life, celebrating the value of the familiar. Through a series of small, intricately crafted rooms, Michael recreates spaces that reflect parts of his home and studio. Using glass, textiles, wood, and found objects, the artist reimagines everyday items distorted by memory, inviting viewers to reflect on the significance of the ordinary.

Playfully exploring moments of disruption and their meaning for artists, Michael's work touches on themes of identity, inclusion, and personal connection. As an emerging mixed-media artist based in Canberra on Ngunnawal Country, Michael draws on his experiences with disability, caring, and LGBTIQ+ identity. His pieces offer an intimate exploration of how your environment shapes and reflects you, providing a deeply relatable perspective that encourages reflection on the spaces you inhabit.
