Brisbane City Council will again host the traditional Flag Day ceremony in King George Square in front of Brisbane City Hall, with a flag raising by members of the Australian Defence Force. This free event is open to everyone. All Australians are encouraged to celebrate on September 3 - officially proclaimed as 'Australian National Flag Day' to commemorate the day in 1901 on which our flag was first flown.
