After delivering the first online festival in the world in May, attracting 80,000 visits, Head On Photo Festival returns with a printed festival of quality photography this November.
A fascinating look at the idea of private and public space and gender bias. While making the series, Odette was interested to find that no one suggested she may be overstepping boundaries. If the roles were reversed, and she was a man, would she be branded a dirty old sleaze? If so, are we a society of hypocrites or is it justified that there is one rule for some and another for others?
Canadian-born Odette spent her early years in Sydney, Australia before moving west to Fremantle (WA). Although keenly interested in photography since her teens, she only realised her passion with the advent of digital technology and completed a three-year photo-journalism degree with high honours.
