ACE Open will begin 2020 with Open Studio, a group exhibition showcasing new and recent work by its five current studio artists. Tamara Baillie, Max Callaghan, Steven Cybulka, Tara Rowhani-Farid & Jess Taylor.
Open Studio is a snapshot of the diverse practices and ideas encouraged as part of ACE Open's annual Studio Program, a fully-supported professional development opportunity for South Australian artists.
The exhibition features some of South Australia's most exciting early career artists and will showcase a variety of artwork mediums, from sculpture and installation, contemplative paintings, 3D printing and mixed media art.

Highlights include Jess Taylor's haunting 3D printed figures that explore her own personal fascination with fictional horror. Max Callaghan's signature style of collage paintings. Steven Cybulka will reconfigure one of his large-scale public art pieces, showcasing his ability to work intuitively to create compositions that embrace order and chaos. Tara Rowhani-Farid's will present a tessellation of recent paintings where digital and virtual realms are juxtaposed with bright, bold patterns. Tamara Baillie's large-scale installation made of sugar and cotton explores geographical and material histories.
