Every year, Perth Poetry Festival presents a series of workshops by poets from around Australia, all of whom come together to share their love of the craft. These are unique opportunities to learn about the writing of poetry. Workshops include:
- Secrecy vs. Privacy: Writing from the Vault with Kerry Greer
- Pop Culture Poetry with Alan Fyfe and Emily Sun
- Healing Through Poetry with Samantha Melia
- Translating Blind with Judith Huang
- Writing Vulnerably with Paul Kohn @ WAPI Office
- Etc. with Beth Kirkland & Maree Dawes
- Forming / Transforming with Willo Drummond
- Code-switching with Emma Trelles @ Centre for Stories. This workshop is for Young Adults under the age of 26
- Poetry in Motion with Sari Bennett
- Writing as an Act of Hope with Reneé Pettitt-Schipp
- Coming to Nothing with Morgan Yasbincek
Each of these workshops present a unique opportunity to share in knowledge and write poems. Participants are encouraged to bring their own writing materials.
