Baker Miller Pink Gallery is proud to present artist Gabby Malpas, with 'Poetic Resistance' an immersive Solo Exhibition of original paintings and ceramic works.
Locally celebrated & globally collected, Malpas is an ink and water colour master painter, creating botanical renderings of otherworldly beauty and mischief. Explorations of identity and racial discourse are powerful and fluid throughout, however, the overwhelming joy in Malpas' work is her signature... her resistance.
A creative powerhouse and design darling of Maxwell & Williams and Art Pharmacy, Malpas has exhibited extensively, both domestically and internationally in the UK, NZ, HK, Singapore and Taiwan. Most recently being shortlisted into the Paddington and Gosford Arts Prizes and the large scale Whale Tales Exhibition here in Sydney.
21/10 OPENING EVENT FRIDAY NIGHT: 6 - 9pm (Ticketed FREE)
Curated viewing sessions will be in place for Opening Night, hosting 1/2 hour sessions within the gallery space with the artist on Friday (Max 35 people / session), and we encourage you to stay with us downstairs at the ready-made 'Garage Bar' where we will be serving Brickworks Brewery's finest beer + wine and refreshments.
