Pop Ups in Kings Park 2021

Pop Ups in the Park are fun Nature-based activities for everyone. 

This April school holidays we will be popping into some of Perth's favourite play-spaces in Kings Park, including the Lotterywest Family Area, May Drive Parkland and Rio Tinto Naturescape Kings Park. Activities are suitable for children over 4 years of age with parent/guardian supervision.  

Fauna Footprints and nature game

Discover the tracks, scats and evidence that animals leave behind in Rio Tinto Naturescape Kings Park. Create your own local native animal footprint to take home and join in some nature-based games.

Printing with plants and nature game

Discover the shapes, textures, and printing properties of some unique Western Australian Native Plants. Practice creating prints on paper using acrylic paint applied to natural bush materials, before transferring your design onto a reusable cotton bag to take home. Join in the nature-based games for extra fun.

Bush collage and nature game

Discover the shapes, textures and colours of the leaves, caps and fruits of some native Western Australian plants found in Kings Park and Botanic Garden. Create your own Bush Collage and join in the nature-based games.

Balga crowns and Nature Chains and nature game

Discover the shapes, textures and colours of the leaves, caps and fruits of some native Western Australian plants found in Kings Park and Botanic Garden.  Create your own Balga crown or nature chain to take home and join in the nature-based games.

Scavenger Hunt and Bush Masks 

Explore Rio Tinto Naturescape Kings Park on a nature scavenger hunt to find bush treasures.  Make a bush mask to take home and join in the fun nature-based games.
