MCA and Unfunded Empathy present a new experimental performance series, Queer PowerPoint. Queer artists from across Sydney have been invited to explore and share an idea, current obsession, or ongoing fascination using that most staid and ubiquitous of presentation tools - PowerPoint.

Reclaiming and queering corporate presentation from the straight capitalist overlords, creators Xanthe Dobbie and Harriet Gillies will host this night and artists Natali Caro, Angus McGrath and Jonny Seymour present surprising stories, secret passions and starwipes.

What to expect

Five Sydney artists will create a 10-minute performance lecture about absolutely anything - the only rules are that they have to be queer, and they have to use Microsoft PowerPoint.

This MCA Late program is presented alongside 23rd Biennale of Sydney: rīvus curated by José Roca, Paschal Daantos Berry, Anna Davis, Hannah Donnelly and Talia Linz.

About Unfunded Empathy

Unfunded Empathy is a production and marketing service for contemporary artists. They seek radical change, deep connection and sweaty moments of abandon. Unfunded Empathy is a side-hustle of sorts, a creative outlet to exorcise political and economic anxieties.
