From 8 December 2020, visit Questacon for a 2-hour self-guided visit, where you can explore select galleries and be amazed by science demonstrations. Pre-booked tickets are essential. For our COVID-19 safety measures, please see our Frequently Asked Questions.
Mini Q and Excite@Q, including Free Fall, remain closed for now.
The available galleries are:
- Foyer - Meet Robo Q, be mesmerised by the Gravitram and pay a visit to the Q Shop.
- Ramp - Enjoy photographic displays, art-science sculptures and hands-on exhibits.
- Fundamental - Come explore some some classic science in a new way.
- Awesome Earth - Feel the force of an earthquake, let lightning spark your imagination and wonder at the grandeur of the universe.
- Q Lab - Look at the world differently with microscopes and high-speed, high definition slow-motion footage and many other areas of science
- The Shed - Hands-on exhibits, artworks from artists and makers, and a tinkering studio where visitors can design and make.
- Mini Q—fun for 0-6 year olds - Custom-built for little scientists, especially babies, toddlers, pre schoolers and school aged children up to 6 years
- Excite@Q - High energy, high impact and highly addictive. Immerse yourself in spectacular physical phenomena.
- Australia in Space - Explore the bright future of Australian innovation in space at Questacon's Australia in Space.
- Mars - From Martians to The Martian, why does Mars capture our collective imagination more than any other planet
- Science Garden - The Science Garden features exhibits inspired by the natural elements of sun, wind, water and rock.
- Questacon Beehive - Take a peek inside and see what makes the hive buzz. If you're lucky you might even meet the queen!
