With the holiday season coming up, kids can take a bit of a break from home studies and get involved in Arts Centre Melbourne's School Holiday Program There are events for little kids and teens, but the lines blur when it comes to TikTok which is enjoyed by all. See program as follows. Early registration is encouraged as the events fill up fast eg. The Lyric Writing Workshop.
For Teens
26 Sep 2pm - ages 13-18, Beat machine
30 Sep 2pm - ages 13-18, Viral Dance: Choreography for TikTok
For Little Ones
28 Sep 2pm - ages 6-12, Lit Steps - Children's Hip Hop
29 Sep 2pm - ages 6-12, Bollywood Dance
To participate in the Beat Machine workshop you need to download the 3 mth free trial of Ableton Live Members of your household are welcome to join in and benefit from practical tips for getting started with Ableton's production software. Learn how to create your own track using samples and head towards building a library of your own recordings with Xylo Aria.
For those of you still trying to figure out the TikTok dances, the Viral Dance event's got you! Get ready for the dance steps to be broken down by Lanie and Dai and make sure you've got enough room to move at home.
Lit Steps for the little ones with Dai and Lanie will focus on hip hop grooves and again, members of the household are welcome to attend all events held for the holidays.
Joshinder Chaggar will get the kids going all Bollywood on you, a shaking and a grooving. You might not be able to resist a few moves yourself.
All workshops are being offered FREE for all participants, acknowledging the extreme impact COVID-19 is having on our community. If you can, please consider donating to one of Arts Centre Melbourne's Support Funds:
