Come with Luvaberry on an afternoon and evening of discovering Australian Native Foods.
Join Luvaberry for an early evening and meet other like minded foodies. Followed by a farm tour through the fingerlime orchard. You'll enjoy a pre dinner native cocktail as you relax into watching the sun slowly cool the summer heat.
Luvaberry bush food feast is cooked by Professor Melissa Fitzgerald, who is an academic in the School of Agriculture and Food Science at the University of Queensland. Cooking is one of her passions, in particular experimenting with flavours and textures. This drew her into exploring the uniqueness of our native foods, and as she expanded her knowledge in bushfoods, she partnered with an Indigenous entrepreneur to develop and teach a bushfoods course at UQ. Through the course, she has developed a deep admiration for how bushfood flavours and textures can shine in food. She has put together this menu, which will feature a range of wonderful native foods. She has tested the menu on her lovely neighbours and fine-tuned it for this event.
The event is BYO.
