The emphasis of this two-day course will be on the close-up observation of nature and light.

You'll cover the basics of drawing and arranging objects on the canvas, setting out the painting according to tonal values, and careful layering of colour to capture the light that reveals the true depth of your subject. Charlotte will provide a range of wonderful and wild vegetable, fruit, and flowers, where each student selects, curates, draws and paints their own masterpiece, receiving guidance from Charlotte throughout the process.

Includes refreshments and lunches each day in the beautiful surrounds of the Botanic Gardens. Bookings available here

Please note: COVID safety measures will be implemented for this event. As always, our art class size is very limited allowing for social distancing standards to be met. The theatre door will be left open (weather permitting) to allow ventilation.
