Stringybark Festival 2020 will be coming to you live in your backyard, celebrating home grown creativity, sustainability stories, backyard projects and the local Knox community. The Festival will take a slightly different spin this year in line with Covid19 restrictions, offering patrons a unique mix of virtual programs including workshops, presentations and performances.
- Tune in from 9am on the Knox Arts & Events Facebook page as the Stringybark Festival takes you on a fun filled virtual journey including cooking demonstrations, kids arts and craft activities, sustainability presentations and more.
- Free online bookable workshops will be available for adults and kids with a focus on DIY projects and active play.
- From 5pm - 9pm enjoy a series of live streamed Stringybark Stage performances featuring some of Knox's best local performers.
Get involved
Knox City Council invites local residents, community organisations and businesses to contribute to this year's exciting program, with a number of opportunities to be involved for those with great ideas that contribute to the themes of Sustainability, Creativity, Nature Play, Kitchen and Backyard Fun. Please submit a Program Partner Expression of Interest application outlining how you would like to participate along with the required information. All activities will be presented within the current Covid-19 Victorian Restrictions.
The ways in which you can be involved are:
- Share a Sustainability Story - Tell us a bit about your community organisation, current environmental projects, sustainability success stories or give us a tour of your backyard or garden.
- Host a Small Group Workshop - Host an online small group workshop to get your audience engaged, through DIY projects for adults and active play for kids.
- Host a Live Stream Presentation - Present a live video featuring backyard style cooking, sustainability topics and arts and crafts.
- Live Stream Performance featuring music, dance and more - Recorded live from the virtual Stringybark Stage.
Applications close 5pm Friday 14 August 2020.
