The 13th Sydney Architecture Festival is a week-long festival and this year's theme is Making. Housing. Affordable.

Everyone deserves a safe and comfortable place to live. In the past 100 years or so the challenge of housing has been intensified by the increasing complexity and density of urban life. This year's Sydney Architecture Festival asks: How can our expertise and resources be brought together to provide proper housing for all the communities of Sydney, and what currently stops this from happening?

The Sydney Architecture Festival is a public event presented by the NSW Architects Registration Board that seeks to create a better understanding of architecture. The festival offers international and local insights into the city's built environment with a packed program of architecture talks, exhibitions, panel discussions, children's activities, open day events and guided tours. The program is spread across lunchtime, evening and weekend time slots and includes both paid and free events suited to all ages and walks of life, from industry professionals through to local community members
