About the orchestra
The AIO is Australia's first symphony orchestra dedicated to performing Indian music.
Founded in 2022 by brothers Sagar and Suraj Nagaraj, the AIO combines a full symphony orchestra with Indian instruments and vocalists to create a unique experience live in concert.
Players in the orchestra have performed with top orchestras around Australia including the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra, Opera Australia Orchestra, and the Australian World Orchestra. Indian instrumentalists and singers in the orchestra have performed with top Bollywood artists like Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal, Jubin Nautiyal, and Kumar Sanu.
The AIO is a melting pot of the unique multicultural talent in Australia and aims to inspire future generations of musicians to create cross-cultural music in Australia and around the world.
