This winter, SIMA presents a series of three unique concerts to answer the question - What is Jazz: NOW?
Acknowledging the roots of jazz, while still pushing the genre forward with innovation - this concert promises edge-of-your-seat spontaneous dialogue from incomparable masters of their instruments. Their names alone speak for themselves.
Sandy Evans/Andrew Robson Quartet
A never-heard-before new collaboration between Sandy Evans and Andrew Robson puts supported experimentation and collaborative interplay at the forefront. Bringing together Evans' powerful tenor sound and soaring soprano melodies, with Robson's great sense of groove and an uncanny instinct for melodic lyricism, the group will create a thrilling and engaging musical dialogue of original works.
