Kuban Katz chicas, backed by top Sydney musicians will have you pumping with rhythms to get you jumping. Beautiful harmonised tunes straight from Cuba bring you the latest in Funk, Rock, Afro Jazz, Salsa, Pop, & Cha Cha. Inspired by Yvonne Veivers from her love of Cuba and Cuban rhythms, the Katz have a great repertoire to start your weekend on a musical high.
Vocalists are the enthralling Havana Vega (raised in Cuba when a toddler) powerful singer and Flautist - Colombian Cecilia Parra, fun-loving Olympia Karanges - well known in Cuban circles, popular Chilena, Jacqueline Acevedo and lastly the instigator of this great group - Far North Queensland's Yvonne Veivers, whose heart is in Cuba (and her home!)
Our fabulous musicians, (mostly ladies) are led by our beautiful Trombonist, Amy McCarthy.
