What is it about the Sydney and Australian quantum technology scene that is helping to deliver ground-breaking research, spawn new offerings and attract global players? As a recent report from the Tech Council of Australia highlighted, the quantum industry is one of Australia's most high-potential emerging sectors. More than 3% of global quantum startups originate in Australia, compared to 1.7% of startups on average.
Over the past year, Sydney has seen the emergence of a new quantum computing startup Diraq, a spin-out from UNSW's world-leading quantum research. Europe-based BTQ has also set up shop in the Quantum Terminal, a co-working space located in the heart of Sydney's Tech Central precinct.
At this event, we will hear from the latest arrivals on the quantum block: Head of Quantum Measurement at Diraq, Arne Laucht, and Gavin Brennen, Quantum Information Advisor at BTQ. Hear their thoughts on navigating Australia's quantum scene and what we can expect as the sector grows.
