Transformation Exhibition is an initiative to draw attention to an ever-growing need to stop 'the use and throw away habit''.

As the world struggles under the weight of an ever-increasing quantity of waste on both land and sea our planet is groaning under the weight of rubbish! However, waste can be useful in its reuse especially in the art world.

The Foundation and Friends of the Botanic Gardens will present an online exhibition which will focus on the recycling and reuse of various materials including plastics, textiles, wood, glass and organic found materials.

Many prominent artists will be exhibiting including sculptors from Sculpture by the Sea, the University of Technology's Department of Design, Technology and Architecture under the leadership of Associate Professor Tim Schork and over 30 other artists covering a variety of genres.

All items in the online exhibition are for sale over the fifteen day event, with proceeds going to the artists and to assisting Foundation and Friends of the Botanic Gardens to continue supporting horticulture, conservation, scientific research and educations programs within your Botanic Gardens.

Visit the Transformation Exhibition website on Sunday 1 August where the exhibition will go live!
