Winter is truffle time at Beltana Farm, and it's one of the best ways to enjoy Canberra's cold months. From late June through August, you are invited to come out to the farm and join in the hunt for fresh black truffles. With the help of trained truffle dogs, you'll get to see what all the fuss is about and maybe even find one yourself.
After the hunt, you can sit down to a relaxed long-table lunch where every dish is made to show off Beltana's truffles, or join a cooking class if you want to learn how to cook with them at home (with a few tastes along the way). If you just want to take something home, they've got a Hunt &Hamper option—head home with a picnic bag full of truffle goodies.
If you're after something a bit different, try their Twilight Hunt &BBQ. Head out as the sun sets, then gather round the fire with a glass of wine and some truffle snacks straight from the outdoor BBQ.
