Set on a kibbutz in Israel in 1991, reveals the politics, rivalry, sweetness, humour and sadness inextricably entwining the sisters' lives. It explores sibling relationships and their often wildly differing perceptions of past events.
It confronts the realities of growing old; maintaining or relinquishing independence, the need for others, and complex emotions including selfishness, guilt and regret.
Jean Kittson is one of Australia's leading comedians and entertainers, with acting credits including Mum's the Word, Calendar Girls and A Midsummer Night's Dream. She is a regular guest on the ABC radio show Thank God It's Friday_and the author of several books, including _You're Still Hot to Me: The Joys of Menopause.
Producer Adam Liberman counts among his credits Freud's Last Session with Henri Szeps (Theatre Royal), Blonde Poison with Belinda Giblin (Sydney Opera House), The Time Machine with Mark Lee (NIDA Playhouse), and Lip Service with Amanda Muggleton (MTC's Lawler Theatre).
