Keeping the fire going throughout winter, catch free live performances from local trailblazers Sweet Talk, Sweetie, Palms, Florian and stacks more, plus tonnes of frothie beer specials to keep you fuelled all night long for an epic night out, that won't break the bank.

Headlining the first show of Young Henrys Presents on Friday, July 8 will be six-piece Melbourne rockers Sweet Talk. With a deep passion for all things southern, blues, soul and gospel, the country virtuosos are renowned for their high-energy live shows and will be ready to storm the Union Hotel's dance floor. Joining them on opening night will be Sydney's very own Lady Lyon, delivering sumptuous tones of cowgirl blues at its very finest.

Kicking off the following Friday, July 15 will be the neo-psychedelic cowboys, The Slims, spreading nothing but good vibes with the music that they love. Adding her dazzling melodic hooks to the bill is Gloomie aka Casey Logemann. A staple in Sydney's indie scene as front person of Goodside, Gloomie will cast the nostalgic, captivating dream-pop aurora of her 2022 EP Dream Chaser to the crowd. Bringing the boot scootin' night of flowing frothies to a close will be country-punk act Sweetie. A project born out of the depths of the pandemic, Sweetie plans to bring the house down, letting the love and chaos from their debut EP Collision loose across the dance floor of one of Newtown's most adored pub venues.

On Friday, July 22, psych-trio Manson Family Values will elevate energy levels to new highs, tirelessly pumping their End Times EP throughout first rounds, before Wollongong post-punk duo Chimers step up. Headlining and drawing the night to a close are Sydney's most-loved underground bands, Palms. The four-piece ensemble have come a long way since their cult classic debut Step Brothers in 2013, and will see the night out with their melting pot of eclectic energy, hook-laden bangers

Playing the final night of Young Henrys Presents on Friday, July 29, are the lush, three-piece velvet crooners, Jacket Weather. Immersed in the bygone days of the 70s, fans can expect the yacht rock steeze of their 2022 EP Memories. Keeping vibes high is the solo project of Canberra-born Charlie Waldren, Poolroom. Bringing the July programming to its finale, is the warm tones from the ever dynamic Fijian/Australian Florian, with her a fusion of catchy-lyricism with an undeniably fun cadence into the iconic Newtown hotspot.

Young Henrys Presents is a month-long series of free events celebrating community spirit, live music from some of Australia's best emerging acts, and quality beer best appreciated between mates. Serving the people of Newtown and beyond once again, don't miss the chance to round up the crew and snag some Young Henrys frothie specials at the Union Hotel this July.
