The Zentangle® method is an easy-to-learn, relaxing and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns and in this live online course, you will learn all about it!
These patterns called 'Tangles' are designed by drawing a combination of lines, simple curves, dots, S-curves and orbs. These uncomplicated shapes are the 'Elemental Strokes' in all of Zentangle® art. The patterns are drawn on tiles which are small pieces of paper. They are called tiles as when the art is completed they are then put all together to create a beautiful mosaic.
Over the three classes, you will learn to draw with a white gelly roll pen patterns (tangles) on a 3.5' x 3.5' black paper tile. I will guide you through these tangles and you will draw these alongside me. At the end of each class, we will do a mosaic of your artwork.
Course outline:
Class 1 - you will learn a brief history of Zentangle® and draw seven to eight basic tangles.
At the end of this course, you will have learnt 7 or 8 tangles and created two beautiful pieces of artwork to display.
