The exhibition of Utensils in the Han & Tang Dynasty organized by China Cultural Center in Sydney will be released to the public.Based on historical classics and archaeological materials- a total of 83 pieces of imitations of typical costumes and related appliances from the Han and Tang dynasties of China were restored- including 14 pieces of Tang Dynasty garments- 11 pieces of female Tang Sancai- and 58 pieces of ceramics- which embarked on a wonderful historical journey.Today- we employ innovative techniques to reproduce the works of the Han and Tang Dynasties- and amaze the modern world with classical handcraft. Let's go through time and space and experience the glory and elegance of the Han and Tang Dynasties!*China Cultural Centre in Sydney is registered Covid-19 Safe. We have a Covid-19 Safety Plan and are committed to keep you safe. *Hygiene procedure- registration and temperature measurement will be taken upon arrival- and social distance of 1.5 metres will be maintained at all times. Wearing a mask is highly recommend during visiting.

Closing the festival- this special event features the talents of SIMA's 2020 Artist in Resident Dr Sandy Evans OAM alongside long-time collaborators Satsuki Odamura and Steve Elphick. The inventiveness- musicality- sensitivity and responsiveness of these three musicians will open doors to magical musical places.A trail-blazer for women in contemporary music- internationally renowned composer and saxophonist Sandy has a passion for improvisation and new music. Her work and research in intercultural music- specifically Indian Carnatic music- has led to international recognition.Satsuki Odamura is a master of the koto and shamisen- having pioneered awareness of these ancient Japanese instruments in her performances throughout Australia. She has since collaborated with a wide variety of artists across a range of genres- from jazz- to Western classical- to modern- and Aboriginal music.ARIA winning bassist Steve Elphick has provided the backbone for artists like Roger Frampton and The Engine Room- and jazz musicians like Sandy Evans- Mark Simmonds- James Greening- Carl Dewhurst- and many more- having grown into one of Australia's most in-demand bass players across a range of genres.Sandy Evans (saxophone) Steve Elphick (bass) Satsuki Odamura (koto) Covid-safe measuresVenue staff will check in with you before and post-performance to make sure you are well and provide resources and information on what you should do should you fall ill. Once checked in- please sanitize hands and ensure the contact details of everyone in your group are registered with venue staff. 505 Theatre no longer accept cash payments. The venue will be taking a number of precautionary measures to ensure patron safety- including: Hand sanitiser dispensers- signage and social distancing markers throughout the venue- and regular sanitising of the venue and facilities.
