Jewellery project class 2020
This course is suitable for students who have completed a beginners class or have some prior knowledge of jewellery making.The course is set at your own pace- allowing you to work on your own designs and projects under the supervision of a tutor. Advanced techniques may be demonstrated- which could include metal inlay and granulation.Felix Gill is a graduate from Enmore Design Centre and from The Sydney College of Arts- where he studied jewellery and objects. An exhibiting contemporary jewellery practitioner- Felix will guide you through your projects- assisting with technics to achieve your outcomes.Covid-safe measuresDue to social distancing regulations we are limited to allow 4 persons max in each of our classes. Priority will be given to students already enrolled in prior to lock-downs and class allocation will then be first in- best dressed basis. Schedules and classes have changed slightly. So please take the time to look through the class options and schedules below. Please email with 2 options if there more than one day to choose from.It's important that all students wear COVID Safe face masks during classes when possible and have their own workshop apron. We ask that you remain home if you are unwell or- if in the last 14 days- you have experienced cold or flu symptoms- have returned from overseas or have been to or had contact with someone from a COVID hotspot.

An exhibition of works by friends of the Workshop Arts Centre across a range of media.The Workshop Arts Centre - Ewart Gallery has a Covid-19 safety plan in place. Visitors are required to sign a register for contact tracing purposes- have their temperature checked and sanitise hands on arrival. The gallery has a maximum capacity of 10 people with social distancing in place. Large groups may be asked to split into smaller groups to enter the space. We have an increased cleaning schedule with hospital-grade disinfectants- high-touch areas are sanitised frequently.

Sculpture and Drawing class - 9 week term 2020
This unique 9-week course combines the 2 disciplines of drawing and sculpture in a friendly and accessible studio environment. This class is conducted within Covid-19 safe guidelines with student numbers limited and physical distancing implemented. The health of our students is a priority in the delivery of this course.Instruction in classic and contemporary sculpture- such as clay modelling and carving- is provided. Instruction will be provided in figure proportion- capturing volumes- rendering portrait features and observational drawing skills. Singing lessons with Sharon on Tuesdays 2020
Sharon Hayes has been teaching singing for the City of Sydney at the Reginald Murphy Centre in Kings Cross on Fridays for 4 years and the Harry Jensen Centre in Millers Point for one term on Tuesdays. It has brought a lot of joy to the community. New friendships have been made along with learning how to sing correctly. The students are very pleased with their progress. Sharon was sponsored to sing solo by 'The Metropolitan Room' NYC 2012-2014- she is on iTunes and sings professionally. Sharon also teaches privately and is currently working on a new album. She teaches scales for 30 minutes then each person has the opportunity to sing 1 or 2 songs- which she work on with them to bring out the best. Everyone has lots of fun.Disclaimer a.
