Riverside Theatres Digital will welcome Adelaide Cabaret Festival smash-hit A Migrant's Son by Michaela Burger. The production will stream in an exclusive online Watch Party on Friday 20 August at 7:30pm, and then will be available to watch on-demand until 10pm Sunday 5 September 2021.

Igniting memories of a story that millions of Australians can relate to, Michaela Burger pays tribute to her Greek migrant family and hard-working, fun loving larrikin father Luke who defied all odds.

From early morning deliveries for the family bakery at age seven, down opal mines in Coober Pedy at age 16 and opening a chain of discount supermarkets in Adelaide, Luke's road was not one for the faint-hearted.

Premiering to a sell-out Adelaide Cabaret Festival season and Winner of the Frank Ford and Best Cabaret weekly awards for Adelaide Fringe 2019, this critically acclaimed work tells an incredible true story, brought to life through original music written & performed by Burger alongside local community choirs.

The show is both hard-hitting and hilarious, traversing 100 years from Russia to the Australian outback - following the hardship, ingenuity, tragedy and triumph in all migrants' stories.

A Migrant's Son Online Watch Party and Interactive Live Chat on Friday 20 August will also offer a behind-the-scenes insight into the making of the show, featuring a live conversation with members of the creative team: Director & CEO of Critical Stages Touring Chris Bendall and Creator & Performer Michaela Burger.

From Saturday 21 August at 10am to Sunday 5 September 2021 at 10pm inclusive, A Migrant's Son will also be available to stream On Demand. During this period of time, viewers can watch as many times as they wish.

For the On Demand performance on Youtube, bookings via riversideparramatta.com.au, phone at 02 8839 3399.

For the Online Watch Party and Live Chat.

Suitable for audiences 13+.
