Has your child ever dreamed of joining a band? Well, now is the time!
There's no better way to enhance your child's musical skills and learning then by joining an ensemble or band. Be it at their school or through our dedicated All Age Music band program. Most parents tell us that since their child joined the band program, they've improved their aural skills, playing abilities, discovered new songs and styles of music, but above all they've experienced a sense of pride and confidence by performing with their new found bandmates.
Our ensemble and band programs are designed to give students more performance experiences in venues and spaces that are normally reserved for professional and touring musicians. Getting them 'gigs' is just one of the many benefits of joining a band or ensemble.
Who can join?
Kids primarily in Years 3+ or high school. Will need to be having regular private lessons on their instrument through the school or an external teacher. Our band program is open to everyone from the general public who fits the criteria. You'll be expected to audition or have a try out to ensure you have the fundamental skills of playing your instrument or singing. It's not super high, but it's also not complete beginner level. Most students have been learning privately for 2 to 3 years before joining our band program.
What instruments do we accept?
Guitar (Acoustic and Electric)
Bass Guitar
Piano
Drums
Vocals
Brass and Woodwind Instruments
Stringed Instruments (Violin, Viola, Cello and Double Bass)
What events do we perform at?
Community Fundraisers and Festivals
Live music venues and creative spaces
Other school fetes or special events
End of year and Mid-Year concerts
Charity events
They'll create a band or group name, socialise with each other, support and congratulate their fellow peers after each show, and develop a team work frame of mind that sets them up for future success.
