Tim Sta-Ana is a visual artist and creative technologist who is inspired by the visual language of illustration and the internet. Their practice blends traditional and digital techniques such as animation, sculpture, and electronics to create playful, kinetic works exploring vulnerability, desire, and relationships.
Brain Surgery is Sta-Ana's first major solo exhibition showcasing 30 works encompassing all parts of his creative practice from painting, sculpture, and interactive art. The center of his show are Sta-Ana's distinct Cherry characters, small beings which frequently appear throughout his works and are the tangible embodiment of emotions that are easy to overlook, just like real feelings often are.
Alongside his art, a range of Sta-Ana's merchandise will be available for purchase. Products cannot be reserved and will operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
Opening night for Brain Surgery will be held on December 20th from 6PM-8PM, where live music and drinks will be available. Entry throughout the weekend from 10AM-6PM is free, but RSVPs are essential.
