Join collaborative group the Dirt Witches for a free panel discussion centred on the eastern suburbs banksia scrub, led by Dr Prudence Gibson, with Brendan Kerin, Nicole Lewis and Dr Geoff Lambert.
The eastern suburbs banksia scrub is a critically endangered scrub featured in the Barlow Street Forest - a City of Sydney commissioned artwork created by the Dirt Witches.
The discussion will begin at the Barlow Street Forest and move to Darling Square Library, with panellists revealing the complex riches of the banksia scrub, the challenges faced by its caretakers and the work undertaken to restore its biodiversity.
This is part of a series of events held by the Dirt Witches in response to their City Art temporary laneway artwork, Barlow Street Forest. Check out additional events on Eventbrite.

Dr Prudence Gibson (UNSW Art and Design) is an academic and author of three books on plant philosophy and plant art, and is a Dirt Witch.
Brendan Kerin is an artist, musician, storyteller and dancer. He was one of the original Discovery Rangers to conduct tours around greater Sydney, teaching culture, traditional bush medicines and bush food.
Nicole Lewis (Moriah College) is an environmental educator who fosters a deep connection to the earth through outdoor education.
Dr Geoff Lambert is a professional neuroscientist, an amateur ecologist and is the Secretary of the North Head Sanctuary Foundation.
