City Art invites you on a guided tour of public artworks that address ideas of place, memorial and reflection.

On this tour, you will experience thought-provoking sculptures, installation, light displays and digital artworks created by local, international and First Nations artists.

Our expert tour guide will lead a discussion about the compelling and poetic ways in which contemporary artists reflect upon Sydney's diverse history and respond to significant sites throughout the city centre.

In acknowledgement of the original custodians of the land, skies and waterways where the City of Sydney is located, the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, this tour will include a special reading by poet Ethan Bell, who is a Wallabalooa man from the Ngunnawal Nation.

The tour will meet outside the gates of Hyde Park Barracks, the corner of Queens and Macquarie Streets, Sydney, in walking distance of St James Station. The tour will finish in Circular Quay, in walking distance of local eateries, trains, light rail, ferries and busses. Please wear comfortable shoes.

Missed out on a ticket? Check out our free Chinatown At Night and Hidden in Plain Sight, City Art Walking Tours. Note: Some artworks visited on this tour are also visited on the Hidden in Plain Sight, City Art Walking Tour.
