Riverside Theatres Digital presents Don Reid's Codgers by Australian Theatre Live. The production will stream in an exclusive online Watch Party on Friday 3 September at 7:30pm, and then will be available to watch on-demand until 10pm Sunday 19 September 2021.
Five senior Aussie men, four of them mates since war service, meet one morning each week in a gymnasium. They exercise, chew the fat about their families, laugh, tease and sing. Together, they solve the problems of the world… even if they must agree to disagree.
But some surprising and disturbing elements enter to test and challenge their comfortable relationships with each other and the world around them. Secrets, differences and loss of trust threaten to destroy the long-established friendships.
The Codgers Online Watch Party and Interactive Live Chat will also offer a behind-the-scenes insight into the making of the show, featuring a live conversation with members of the creative team: Creative Director of Australian Theatre Live, Producer & Co-Director Grant Dodwell, Riverside Theatres Past Director Robert Love, Director Wayne Harrison, Co-Producer Fiona Press and Shane Porteous.
From Saturday 4 September at 10am to Sunday 19 September 2021 at 10pm inclusive, Codgers will also be available to stream On Demand. During this period of time, viewers can watch as many times as they wish.
