Housed in a restored 1850s sandstone warehouse, The Rocks Discovery Museum is home to a unique collection of images and archaeological artefacts found in The Rocks that come together to tell the history of the area’s development.
Join a free guided tour of the museum and learn about The Rocks’ traditional custodians, the Gadigal people. Be transported back in time to hear tales about the establishment of the English colony, the time when sailors, whalers and traders made this bustling port their home. Then find out how the union-led protests of the 70s led to the conservation of the area.
