For WorldPride Arts, part of the Sydney WorldPride festival, the Museum of Contemporary Art Australia and Twenty10 are presenting GENEXT x PRIDE, a series of free events for young people who celebrate LGBTIQA+ culture and community. Join us for the third and final workshop in the series with Ballroom Australia icon and artist Jamaica Moana.
Express yourself with some fierce new moves, learn the basics of commentating, and uncover the history of voguing and Ballroom during this dynamic workshop for young people aged 12-21.

About Jamaica Moana
Jamaica Moana is a Sydney-based, non-binary artist, rapper, creative director and songwriter of Māori (Ngāpuhi/Tainui) and Samoan descent, spiritually entwined with Hokianga and Waikato in the motherland of Aotearoa, whilst currently walking the land of the Gadigal people of the Eora nation. As a multidisciplinary artist, she balances her professional career as a rapper and artist whilst being a leader and commentator of the Australian ballroom community.

WorldPride is a global LGBTIQA+ festival staged since 2000, with Sydney selected to host the event in 2023. Sydney WorldPride will offer a program incorporating Mardi Gras events, arts, sports, theatre, music, First Nations programming and a human rights conference from 17 February - 5 March 2023.
