We could all do with some good in our lives right now.
The creative heart of Sydney has suffered over the past year. For many musicians, artists, performers and makers, business as usual is a thing of the past.
So, what happens when a sustainability expert and an artist decide to do something about it?
Introducing Good Space - a new arts, culture and environmental model for a new time.
This Autumn an iconic Sydney building in The Rocks will temporarily be reborn into Good Space, a hive of activity buzzing with Good Things, Good Ideas, Good Times and Good People.
Supported by the City of Sydney and the NSW State Government, for the next 2 months Good Space will bring Arts, culture and entertainment back to the city and breathe life into the historical Rocks precinct.
Experience something extraordinary whilst at Good Space; come, connect with others and help to create a viable and sustainable model for creativity, culture, environment and community at the same time. It's all Good.
What is Good Space?
Unusual times call for unusual solutions.
So much more than just a normal 'pop-up', Good Space is a venue, artisan shop, live artist studio, ideas and education hub, cross-disciplinary art installation, curio-bazaar, small bar, cafe and secret garden - all rolled into one.
The goal is to ensure Good Space is a tangible environment for creative curiosity and exploration for many - not just an elite few. A place to listen, laugh, learn, dance, eat, drink, connect, chill, try your hand at some making-or just watch others do their thing-and then come back and do it all over again another day.
Good Space guests will be able to choose their own adventure, enjoy new experiences, purchase art and design objects made by local creators and makers, listen to a talk, watch art in the making, sip a cocktail and then party into the night.
Good Space has secured an absolutely amazing venue on Sydney Harbour in The Rocks. The Sailors Home has a large capacity with multiple levels to display art, run events and show awesome wares, two bars, and restaurant spaces with an outdoor courtyard overlooking the Harbour!
What's on
Good Space is curating a program of free and affordable events and experiences spanning concerts, gigs, workshops, talks, performances, live art, films, happenings, guided walks, readings, parties and much more.
Featuring some of the best and brightest in the creative, cultural and sustainability industries to inspire and inform. Throughout the lifespan of Good Space, new work will be made and each day the 'biosphere' evolves, no two experiences are ever the same.
