Join collaborative group the Dirt Witches for a free walking tour of key sites that contribute to Sydney's green grid, led by Barbara Schaffer, Jane Irwin, Sacha Coles and Sue Barnsley.
On this tour, your guides will demonstrate the value of interconnected greening within the city, highlighting the importance of green spaces in areas that are shared by people and wildlife.
The tour begins at the Barlow Street Forest - a City of Sydney commissioned artwork created by the Dirt Witches - and travels through the city's green spaces and built environment, visiting UTS Alumni Green, The Goods Line, One Central Park and Prince Alfred Pool and Park, concluding at the Barlow Street Forest.
This is part of a series of events held by the Dirt Witches in response to their City Art Temporary Laneway artwork, Barlow Street Forest. Check out additional events on Eventbrite.

Barbara Schaffer is a Principal Landscape Architect for the Government Architect NSW, having developed Sydney's Green Grid as a network of open green spaces and waterways. Her visionary ideas and projects have directed a regenerative future for the city.
Jane Irwin (JILA), is a leader in the field of landscape architecture. Her design-based practice takes a vital interest in the field of public domain planning and design, and her expertise has fostered innovative thinking about the structure and future of urban design.
Sacha Coles is director of design and strategy at ASPECT Studios. He advocates for collaborative design within a social framework, reinforcing the role that cities can play in creating economic, social and creative opportunities. Sacha is an advocate for design excellence, environmental resilience, and civic delight.
Sue Barnsley (sue barnsley design landscape architects) leads a small design practice known for a series of city projects that support incremental change and neighbourhood transformation. Where opportunity and urban ecology set the foundation for the future city.
