Lambert Estate is proud to present Amanda Ford's current exhibition 'Looking from Behind...(& other things)'
Amanda Ford is a contemporary artist known for her use of colour and texture to influence her paintings. She uses various mediums including acrylic, watercolour, pastels and gouache.
Her background includes studies in Design and Colour, and she ran her own Colour Consulting business for several years. Her most recent highlight was her nomination as a finalist in the Kennedy Art Prize in 2024.
Amanda's description of this exhibition is as follows.
In this exhibition my aim is to evoke feelings of nostalgia, curiosity and introspection. By positioning ourselves behind the scenes, we gain a deeper appreciation of the complexities of human experience and the relationships that define us.
It also invites the viewer to explore hidden narratives and untold stories that lie just out of sight. In modern society, so much of our time is spent engaging with technology, we often overlook moments of intimacy. These paintings are a look into the past, moments captured in time that shape our memory and connections. My hope is that as you peer into these images, you are able to reflect on the memories you cherish.
Exhibition dates: 12 December 2024 - 19th February 2025
