The City of Sydney hosts an official welcome for international students studying at educational institutions in Sydney every year.

This year the Lord Mayor's Welcome for International Students will be held in the Centennial Hall at Sydney Town Hall.

The event recognises and celebrates the contribution international students make to Sydney's vibrancy, liveability and cultural diversity, and helps them start lifelong connections with the city.

Students will also learn about a variety of international student support services and find out about volunteer opportunities.

• Official welcome from Clover Moore, Lord Mayor of Sydney

• International student leader speech

• Entertainment

• Meet our new international student ambassadors

• Connect with other international students, volunteer organisations and international student support services

• Light refreshments

The event is free, but registration is essential.

This event is hosted by the City of Sydney and supported by Study NSW, University of Sydney, University of New South Wales, the University of Technology Sydney and many more educational institutions.
