With specially themed daily activity trails, the entire family can join in the fun and discover a rich tapestry of cultural heritage available at the Maritime Museum.

The museum will also offer Chinese language guided tours of the museum's main galleries, exhibitions and attractions.  

Lunar Maker Space

Sunday 14 February and Sunday 21 February

  • 11am - 3pm

  • 45 minute workshop sessions. Limited capacity. Book on the day.

  • Celebrate Lunar new year with creative family-friendly workshops inspired by traditional stories and mythological maritime creatures.

  • Craft a lunar lantern or a dragon kite. Use Chinese paper cutting techniques to make your own amazing artwork and Learn watercolour brush calligraphy.

  • Included with paid admission to the Museum. Museum members free

Lunar Seas Activity Trail & Lucky Dip Prize packs

Daily 12- 21 February

  • 9.30am - 5pm

  • Adventure around the museum with our Lunar Seas activity trail- inspired by Lunar animals and constellations that feature in the museum's collection.

  • Complete your trail to receive a lucky dip pack filled with creative activities and a prize from the museum store.

  • Free event

Chinese Language (Mandarin) Tours

Daily 12 - 21 February (please check tour availability upon arrival)

  • Time: 11am

  • 30 minutes. Limited capacity. Book on the day.

  • To be delivered in Mandarin, the tour will feature a visit to Captain Cook's Endeavour replica as well as highlights of the museum's compelling exhibitions.

  • Included with paid admission to the Museum. Museum members free
