Marketing plays a crucial role in any growth strategy and helps raise awareness, secure funding, and attract the right customers.
Marketing is even more crucial in the climate tech industry, as startups face unique challenges: The need to effectively communicate complex solutions and to establish themselves in a market with limited understanding of the problems they are solving.
In this session, we will walk climate founders through the essential ingredients to a powerful marketing strategy and to a customer value proposition that resonates with the right audience.
We will share a proven methodology to identify the key messages that drive engagement, find and invest in the right marketing channels, and develop a cross-functional continuous improvement mindset that drives results.
We will hear from Peter Neal, founder of the Climate startup Powerpal, who successfully exited his company. Peter will share his experience in building and executing a well-crafted go-to-market strategy and the importance of testing and refining for success.
Key takeaways
Understanding the specific marketing challenges in climate technology and how to overcome them
Learning the elements of an effective marketing strategy
Discovering a proven methodology for identifying and engaging with multiple audiences effectively
Success story: Learning from the firsthand experience of Peter Neal, an exited climate tech founder
Speakers:
Julien Bertoli, Managing Director, G Transition
Julien launched G Transition, a marketing agency focused on sustainability in 2020. Since its inception, G Transition have been helping clean technology businesses and sustainable brands define their marketing strategy, implement impactful messaging and generate leads and sales across multiple channels. With a passion for building a greener future, Julien wants to partner with businesses who share the same values and help leaders on a mission to inspire change.
Pete Neal, Exited founder, Powerpal
Peter founded and grew Powerpal in 2017 from a 'back of a napkin' product idea to over 250,000 customers, a team of 60 and $14m in annual revenue. Powerpal was acquired by Amber Electric in December 2022 and Pete continues to assist with the strategic direction following the acquisition and integration of the business.
Today, Pete assists a diverse range of businesses in developing growth strategy, predominantly early-stage startups from seed to series-A.
