Join us for a brunch at 11:30am, followed by a talk by Faith Lam from Neami National on R U OK? Day starting at 12pm.
Faith Lam is a Community Care Coordinator for The Way Back Support Service which is a suicide aftercare program developed by Beyond Blue and delivered by Neami National across the Central and Eastern Sydney Primary Health Network. The Way Back is one of the government's 'Towards Zero Suicides' initiatives within their strategic framework for suicide prevention, which aims to reduce the suicide rate in Australia by 20% by 2023. The service provides non-clinical support for individuals who have been discharged from hospital following a suicide attempt or suicidal crisis.
Faith is extremely passionate about suicide prevention and mental health recovery, ensuring all individuals that she supports are instilled with hope in themselves and their ability to live a meaningful and purposeful life.
