May is Domestic and family violence prevention month. Join powerful anti-violence advocate and educator Ashlee Donohue to learn actions you can take in homes, workplaces and communities to help end violence against women and children.

Over two free face to face sessions you'll learn about the primary prevention frameworks 'change the story', and 'changing the picture' and identify actions that are needed to address the drivers of violence against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and children.

Spaces are limited. Register now to reserve your seat.

Light catering will be provided. Please bring your own water.

Please note this is a community capacity building course and not a therapeutic space. If you or someone you know needs support, help is available 24/7 from:

1800 RESPECT: 1800 737 732, National Sexual Assault Domestic and Family Violence Counselling Service.

13YARN: 13 92 76, a crisis line where you can talk with an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander crisis supporter.

Rainbow Sexual, Domestic and Family Violence Helpline:1800 497 212, can assist with managing the impacts of sexual domestic and family violence, talking to supporters, information about seeking assistance from police, information on medical help, safety planning and referrals.

This training is part of the City's Connect Sydney program, supported by the Department of Communities and Justice. The program aims to build the capacity of community and not-for-profit organisations through the provision of free skills and governance training.
