Brisbane City Council's Free Native Plants program offers residential ratepayers and tenants two free native plants each financial year.
Discover a variety of native species, including groundcovers, tufting plants, climbers, small and medium shrubs and feature trees. These plants not only enhance your property's beauty, but also provide food and shelter for wildlife and contribute to a greener and more sustainable Brisbane.
To collect your native plants, bring a copy of your rates notice from this financial year - a photo or electronic copy works too - and visit Karawatha Forest Discovery Centre. To find out more, visit Brisbane City Council's Free Native Plants program webpage.
Karawatha Forest Discovery Centre is open Tuesday to Sunday from 9am to 4pm. With walking tracks, a nature play playground, interactive discovery centre and more, why not plan an outing! Discover more on the Karawatha Forest Discovery Centre webpage.
