The Salisbury art Society was formed by a group of keen local artists in 1979, and has run continuously for more than 40 years. It has fostered established and novice artists, encouraging the Arts in the community. Great and lasting friendships grew and even today we have founding members actively involved in the Society. From a little country town, Salisbury is now very much part of Metropolitan Adelaide. But in our hearts we still feel country.

They feel very privileged to be able to bring Arts to Waikerie and share their paintings with the town's people. So much so, the artists are planning to stay for a lovely break.

Their group work mainly with various painting mediums. So you will see works in oil, water colour, acrylic pastel, inks and mixed media.

Artists over the years have gained awards overseas, interstate and locally. Each individual has been free to experiment, grow and learn in a friendly environment. They expand exposure to art through guest artists and tutors and join other groups for exhibitions.

Many of their members have fostered others by demonstrating their techniques and skills, teaching ways with colour, medium and form.

Visit this exhibition during April and May. Official opening is Sunday 2nd April at 2pm
