Kids will have fun creating their own hand‑build clay animal pets in this relaxed school holiday workshop.
Using simple ceramic pinch‑pot techniques, they'll shape their favourite pet or animal - dogs, cats, rabbits and more. Once the forms are complete, they'll add expressive faces, textured details and unique features using a range of surface treatments.
This workshop is a great introduction to hand‑building, giving kids the chance to experiment with pressing, rolling, stamping and sgraffito as they decorate their work.
This workshop is designed for complete beginners. No prior experience necessary.
Small class size: maximum 10 students
Level: designed for beginner level students (7-10 years)
Wear: comfortable clothing and enclosed shoes
Bring: yourself, a snack and an apron - all other materials are provided
Works will be fired and ready to collect around 4 weeks after the course.
We aim to present inclusive and accessible events. If you have any particular access or communication needs please contact Pine Street Creative Arts Centre on 02 9265 9333 or pinestreet@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au
The ticket purchaser must hold a valid concession card.
