Explore traditional and contemporary genres like jazz, pop, blues, soul and world music. Learn technique, warm-ups, stage tricks, and how to access vocal tools. Sing together choir style and also find your own solo vocal niche by singing individually.
Your teacher is a professional singer-musician. She has experienced a life of worldwide performing, coaching, composing, and directing music industry events.
Classes are designed to make all students feel welcome and involved, regardless of whether you're a beginner or advanced. You'll learn how to use your voice efficiently, project without straining, expand your range and techniques that will make you a better performer.
We aim to deliver inclusive and accessible events. If you have any particular access or communication needs, please contact Bishop, Community Services Worker, on blaryea@cityofsydney.nsw.gov.au or 02 9265 9133.
The Reginald Murphy Community Centre is open Monday to Friday 9:30am to 3:30pm. There is a table tennis table, computers, wifi, books to borrow, a piano to play and sewing machines to use and tea and coffee all for free. A weekly community lunch is held on Wednesdays at 12pm for $10. Everyone is welcome!
